Our Starlight Travelers of the month are Michelle and Jason! Here's a bit about their vacation:

Let's start with the resort accommodations! How was everything? Dreams Onyx is a beautiful resort! The staff are friendly and excited to have you there. The landscaping is gorgeous! Great place for a family vacation.
Very spacious room! Fresh and modern. Room amenities were plenty. The family suites are located near the restaurants, gym, and preferred pool which we favored. Friendly staff! They took good care of the guests! Some of them were quite funny and made our experience so much fun!
How was the dining and beverage experience?
We often had long waits at the restaurants ranging from 45 minutes to 90 minutes. We were only able to make reservations at Spice. Beverages were delicious! The food truck was top notch! We thoroughly enjoyed the chicken sandwiches. Food was average particularly at the buffet and beach grill. The Mexican restaurant and Spice (Asian) were our favorites. We ordered room service for breakfast and dinner a few times and food was average.
All-inclusive resorts are well known for their onsite amenities! How would you describe the property?
Beautiful pools! We spent most of our time in the infinity pool and preferred pool. Nightly entertainment was phenomenal! Our favorites were the "Greatest Show," "Fire Show," and "Light/ Glow" show. We spent time on the beach for sunrise and sunset. There were plenty of chairs and the scenery was beautiful. Expect to see plenty of sargassum on the beach if you go during July. This is normal. The resort does its best to remove it but it's part of nature! It did not put a damper on our time at the beach.
Did you participate in any activities throughout your trip? What were the highlights?
Monkey Land was amazing! We booked through Amstar. They provided transportation to and from Monkey Land. We had a guided tour that included feeding and interacting with squirrel monkeys in their natural habitat, exploring a coffee and chocolate plantation, and sampling the products. It was approximately 4.5 hours of fun!
Did anything go wrong during your vacation? We were without hot water for nearly 2 days. It turned out that it wasn't just our room. The resort compensated by upgrading us to "preferred" status.
