Starlight2Travel loves to meet, network and learn from as many travel industry events as we can! It helps keep us informed of everything happening in the travel world. Industry events like these are hosted around the country by various leading travel companies. This month, we had the opportunity to attend Destination Success!
Destination Success, an annual event presented by KHM Travel Group, is hosted in Cleveland, OH where about 250 travel agents from around the country! I am lucky to be affiliated with the BEST Host Agency KHM Travel Group and they are local in Brunswick, OH. We were joined by top travel brands like Sandals & Beaches Resorts, Delta Vacations, Apple Leisure Group, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Amawaterways, and Disney Travel Company, just to name a few. The agents, suppliers and host agency team have about four days of meeting, learning and sharing. As independent travel agent, I run my own business, but we all come together to support, learn from each other, and work together to establish and develop our long lasting relationships with our suppliers!
We are provided firsthand knowledge of all that is coming in 2023-2024, like new resorts, upgrades/refurbishments to resorts, and new ships being launched. And as a bonus to all the knowledge learned, the suppliers each bring quite a few prizes they raffle away. I personally won a set of 50th Anniversary Mickey Ears and Carnival Cruise Line "Travel Agents Rock" T-Shirt.
The keynote speaker, Jacki Marks, EVP of Apple Leisure Group, was one of the best sessions. She spoke to the inner-child in each travel agent. We are the kids who dreamed big and somehow we grew up to be travel agents. As an adult, thinking back to the kids we were, would we be making ourselves proud? Would the younger versions of us love who we are today?

Destination Success is an industry event that we looking forward to every year. This is our third time attending! I go so you know, and what I learn at events like these helps provide you with the best vacation options possible.
